I chose the Street Triple over the Speed Triple because the Street is more agile and flickable and the engine is very smooth. The Speed Triple has more torque and a better seat. Both are excellent machines and, I would suggest, personal preference should, in the end, decide.
The Street is a great bike, and so is the Speed. I'm willing to bet the difference between them in 0-60 isn't all that much. If I remember correctly, the Speed Triple is about 3.25 seconds. I'd be amazed if the Street was over 4 seconds.
The Street Triple and the 796 Monster are more comparable than the 848 Streetfighter and the Street Triple blows the doors off it ( if it had doors) . The 848 Streetfighter and the Speed Triple R are more toe to toe . And the SPD3R is better IMO . But I love the sound of a Duc . Love it .
Here we are in November, 2022, and Triumph is unveiling an upgraded Street Triple line that will be available as soon as April of 2023 and designated as 2024 models. The revised Street Triple lineup will consist of three models: the R and RS, which are currently offered, plus a new limited-edition Street Triple Moto2 Edition.
The Street Triple, on the other hand, has a 765 cc engine that produces 116 horsepower and 56 lb-ft of torque. The Speed Triple has a top speed of 155 mph, while the Street Triple has a top speed of 140 mph. Both bikes have a modern, sleek design that is unmistakably Triumph. They feature aggressive lines and curves that give them a sporty look.
Both the Street Triple and the Speed Triple come with three-cylinder engines, providing a unique exhaust note and a smooth power delivery. However, the engine specs are different between the two bikes, with the Street Triple’s 765 cc engine producing 123 horsepower and 77 lb-ft of torque, while the Speed Triple’s 1050 cc engine produces 150
For 2024, the Street Triple is available in three versions: the R ($9,995), RS ($12,595), and the Moto2 Edition ($15,395). The key differences are that the R’s engine is tuned for a claimed 118
With an accessible seat height of 32.52” (826mm) on the Street Triple R, 32.91” (836mm) on the Street Triple RS and 33.03” (839mm) Moto2TM Edition, a new accessory low seat option, with 3D
Street triple has much better handling, less weight, better sound, and you pay 4k euros less. The only reason to buy the speed over street in my opinion is if you spend most of your time on highways. Basically, for European twisty roads street triple does the job much better and costs less. 7.
The Street Triple RS is a very potent track machine. It corners like a housefly and keeps up with very big bikes like the Ducati V4S and Aprilia Factory bike
